More than 170 applications for the competition announced by the Bank of Russia in June were received. The competition board chose 17 most promising and interesting applications out of the total number, which in the framework of the Forum were presented to a wide public of financial market participants at the FinTech startup venue. 

The winners of the competition were announced on the last day of Finopolis 2016. 

  • The grant of 3 million rubles and the mentorship of the Senior Vice President of JSC Sberbank Digital Business Development Department Mikhail Erenburg were awarded to the Oz Photo Expert startup, specializing in proximate analysis and detection of forged electronic documents and photographs.

  • The grant of 2 million rubles and the mentorship of the Chairman of the Board at Finam Investment Holding Victor Remsha were given to the Farzoom startup, which works on solutions based on open API databases that assess possible scenarios of bank customers' behavior and thus suggesting bank services that might be of interest for them. 

  • The grant of 1 million rubles and the mentorship of the co-founder and managing partner of the Almaz Capital Investment Fund Alexander Galitsky were given to the Brainysoft startup, which specializes in producing solutions that provide all the necessary tools as SaaS for rapid quality assessment in online-banking and microfinance sector.

Giving their speech, the winners emphasized that participation in the competition gave them feedback from representatives of the market their products are meant for as well as assisted in establishing contact with potential partners and investors.
