The registration of student team applications for participation in the Fintech Youth Day of FINOPOLIS 2018 closed on 10 August 2018. Over 20 regions of the Russian Federation with 133 student teams submitted their applications.

The next stage of the Youth Day is distance case-championship. Teams are to work through test cases. Ten large financial companies participating in this year’s Forum took part in developing these cases. The solution to a case must be submitted no later than 29 August 2018.

Based on the results of the distance round, the organizers will choose the top ten teams that will go to Sochi for FINOPOLIS 2018. The results of the qualifying round will be announced on 12 September.

At the Forum the teams are in for the final fintech battle, where they will have to solve real cases from market participants. Winners will meet with executives of leading Russian banks and IT companies, and receive awards and prizes from the organizing committee and partners of FINOPOLIS 2018.

Also the programme of the Youth Day includes workshops from the partners of the Forum, communication with successful fintech start-ups and industry representatives, an open lecture by Vasant Dhar, a professor of the Leonard N. Stern School of Business and the Centre for Data Science of New York University, and much more.
