SOCHI, 18 October. /TASS/. Sberbank chief expresses the view that tech companies will emerge victorious as a result of concentrating intellect and employing a flexible management model

Speaking at the Finopolis Forum, Herman Gref, CEO of Sberbank of Russia, put forward his belief that more successful companies had focused less on investment, and more on the expertise offered by highly qualified professionals.

“Investment is not the main thing. The main thing is possessing expertise, concentrating specialists offering a high degree of knowledge, and employing a flexible management model. This is of much greater importance than a large amount of capital,” he said.

Gref went on to note that companies which do possess a large amount of capital (much more than tech companies possess) routinely suffer from a lack of expertise.

“Tech companies will emerge victorious as a result of concentrating intellect and employing a flexible management model. They have the ability to quickly change their business models,” he concluded.
