The 12 finalists of the annual FinTech-startups’ competition of Finopolis 2017 were determined. These are the projects of Hidebook Cloud, VisionLabs LUNA, Psycheya, 7SECONDS, Robin, Thewaay, ESIA.Finance, System for automatic appraisal of market value of objects, Insurance Cabinet, PayControl, Risk clamp, K24. Eight final applications were sent from Moscow, one from Rostov-on-Don, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan and Samara. On October 5, the final of the FinTech start-ups’ competition (pitch-sessions) will be held, following which the winners will be determined. The jury is made up of experts from the Central Bank of Russia and the FinTech Association. The award ceremony will take place on 6 October.The winners will receive financial grants in the amount of 1, 2 and 3 million rubles for 3rd, 2nd and 1st place, respectively. In total, more than 100 applications from startups were submitted for the FinTech-startups’ competition. These startups extended to areas of risk management, risk insurance, banking scoring, identification (including biometric), brokerage platforms, payment services, analysis of the quality of banking services and their personification and etc. The goal of the startups’ competition is developing of the innovative environment by increasing the number of high-tech projects of interest to venture investors, corporations and government customers. Organizers of the competition expect to find new teams, offering innovative solutions in the field of financial technologies and developing electronic interaction in the financial market.
